Divorced Entrepreneur Launches Aftermath, a Post-Divorce Services and Referral Company

Wanted to share this press release I received. Hope some of you find this service helpful:

Divorced Entrepreneur Launches Aftermath, a Post-Divorce Services and Referral Company

MIAMI, March 25, 2013 – After enduring the emotional twists and turns of the break-up of his marriage and subsequent divorce, one more mountainous issue awaited entrepreneur and marketing executive Carlos Blanco – paperwork.  Yet where one person might see a crisis in the labors of changing your bank and credit card accounts, modifying your insurance policies and rewriting your will, Blanco saw opportunity.  No single service provider guides the recently divorced through the often arduous post-divorce settlement process, so Blanco created Aftermath.

For a modest fee and through one point of contact, Aftermath simplifies and expedites the post-divorce process which includes not only changing names on driver’s licenses, passports, social security cards and car titles but also more complicated transactions outlined in divorce decrees like dividing marital assets, splitting up retirement accounts and reviewing wills, trusts and estates.  The company has developed a referral network of service providers and attorneys to manage complicated manners requiring professional specialization.

“Over the course of a marriage, a couple opens dozens of joint accounts, buys property together and becomes almost completely intertwined,” said Blanco.  “After the divorce, you have to change the ownership of everything from the house to the frequent travel account to the licensing of the family dog.  Aftermath guides divorced individuals through the process and helps them stay on top of the optional as well as court-mandated tasks.”

Blanco was formerly the CEO of Next Level , a Miami-based international sales and marketing company sold to United Business Media in 2008.  Since developing the concept for Aftermath in 2011, Blanco assembled a board, raised operating funds and began testing the overall Aftermath concept.  Endorsed by many of the area’s premier family attorneys, the company has successfully assisted many clients in the past six months, and recently launched a unique Family Law Attorney Program.

The Family Law Attorney Program offers promotional and referral opportunities to qualified family law attorneys.  Benefits include exposure on the Aftermath website, speaking opportunities, promotion in the company newsletter and blog as well as other promotional exposure.

A Post-Divorce Checklist is now available at www.mattersofdivorce.com. The checklist suggests important changes, notifications and other considerations that should be contemplated once a divorce is finalized. The checklist is provided free of charge for visitors to the Aftermath web site.  For more information visitwww.mattersofdivorce.com or call 305-908-1171.
